It's because of broken VALVE's masterserver. Happens on Windows version only. Linux's one doesn't affected.

But, if you are indeed using it, then you should be running
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game <game> -dir <installdir>

Well, I tried to use
D:\testServ2\HLDSTOOL\HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game cstrike -verify_all -retry -dir D:\testServ2
it downloaded all the content, clean server (no metamod and amxx), but when I run hlds.exe, I still getting:

Btw strange thing, I also had downloaded CZero
D:\testServ2\HLDSTOOL\HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game czero -verify_all -retry -dir D:\testServ2
and THIS mod works perfect without any stupid requests. So what the hell is going on?

i've done the cmd update . already. it stated updated. but hlds writes otherwise.

Right, that is how it was supposed to work. Since you were using Steam Tools, the files are saved to your Steam directory. HLDSUpdateTool does not use that directory



Now, unless Windows and Linux do not use the same build version, your servers are still out-dated.

sorry , the directory was in dedicated server . i installed and updated it there.

Yes it is, I've downloaded server to the completely different directory with using HLDSUpdateTool.

Now, unless Windows and Linux do not use the same build version, your servers are still out-dated.

And... We have nothing to do with it? Looks like it Valve's fault, not our, that they forget about differences between Linux and Windows versions of servers! Isn't it?
