sorry everyone about me being a noob here but I need help creating a script. I need a small code that will read from a .ini file to find a steam id, and return the data from the steam id. what i mean is, say i want to record someones steam id, and when they say a command, it will return the line of data that corrisponds with there steam id. I tried to look this up, but all the .sma files i have that do this use MySQL, and I dont want MySQL. I hope someoen can help me, and if u cant, delete this post.

Use the vault. Check out vault.inc.

ok in the vault.inc, theres data and keyvalues.... if i were to record a steam id, i would make it a key value, and then set the data i want to record for the steam id, i would use set and getdata?
