I don't mean script, I mean default_fov doesn't work for cleint-side FOV.

It's impossible to change the client fov in CS1.6 without server mods.

Ah so it's stick to 90 no matter the resolution or if it's widescreen or not, Valve thinks that all CS players are using CRT monitors? xD

To be fair, this is a game (mod) that was released over 17 years ago.

you can easly make a script to let users choose thier fov but just clamp its value between 60-120 ? idk just an idea.

I believe in CSGO (and other source games?) the fov is 74 on 4 and 90 on widescreen (could be wrong).
In Kreedz Climbing (the new Source game) fov is unlocked IIRC.

But yeah, in 1.6 it's locked at 90.

I'm working on a small tool to make this achievable but It would be a memory hack and not a ingame implementation itself. I don't recommend using it for Steam version of the game either
