Im wondering if it would be possible to change your PTBx version to Metamod Source?

I personally have everything with Metamod Source now and your balancer as a standalone - it would make much better sense in my mind if it was Metamod Source too.

Don't know if that would be a lot of work but it would save me having loads of different plugins working differently.

As far as I know, XAD hasn't come to a decision yet.

I don't see why not its quite a small plugin and seems pointless it being shown as a standalone plugin. Makes sense in my mind to have everything together.

Dude, for a little plugin such as ptbx what is the point in it being stand-alone?

For eventscripts maybe but i dont see the need. Manis plugin converted to metamod source has proven popular in his forums so maybe its not such a bad thing...

Mani's plugin is both, there is a non MM:S version that is more widely used then the MM:S version.

Some GSP's are not allowing MM:S as stated in some posts in these forums.
Many server ops find they have no need for MM:S, there's no mod yet for it that is script-able, it's still just stacking hard coded binaries, and if you don't have a need for any of the silly mods most of us have no real reason to use it.

Right now our servers are running 4 non MM:S server plugins one of them is a beta for an announced sever plugin, we have had no problems,.

I believe it has already been stated you can run ptbx even if you're using MM:S with no problems, so why should Xad want to have to support two version when just one will work?

I just don't see why some want to try and force everyone to use something they find no need to use yet. Maybe down the road the if a real script-able mod is released people will find they want or need it.

For maximum compatibility between plugins SourceMM is best.

In otherwords:
VIP Mod = SourceMM
If you use beetlesmod + vip mod, you *WILL* have map changing issues

GoreMod + Non-SM
Hostitron + Non-SM

BOTH will create issues, it's a recorded and known FACT by the developer of GoreMod and Hostitron (c0ld), and the only solution so far that he's found is to urge the developer of these other plugins to move into SourceMM.

So, there is valid reason for any developer to move his plugins to SourceMM, that is maximum compatibility between plugins.

I just had to answer the "no reason to port" post, because that bothered me.
