It has/have had multiple flaws that might just get your site/has got your site hacked. Of course it's up to the site owner to keep the software up-to-date though.

Will Mani Plugin still work? Ive got Metamod and sourcemod installed. I'm currently trying to figure out how to use sourcemod, but mani would be so much easier. Obviously, Mani's sight has been hacked, but I guess no one gives a sh*t to fix it.

So if mani's plugin works then:

1. What was the latest release?
2. Where can I download it (other than his website)?
3. Does it come with, or where can I find, instructions?

I guess you're right about the fact that mani-admin is for the noobs. Just an "all in one" solution.

But you can't beat SourceMod with it being so robust and customizable.

Besides, that was when Mani still actually supported it. Mani is no more, and now the site is gone (for now)

That's an OWNED in my book.

SourceMod epically pwns Mani, in my book....

BTW, there's nothing wrong with Joomla as a CMS...but like everything there are vulnerabilities that get exposed. They have a mailing list that all server owners can subscribe to so that when the CMS gets updated, you can find out right away.

Obviously Mani didn't get the email...

I fail to see anything wrong with everything in same package? It's just a matter of configuration. Mani's mod just became de facto plugin while cs source was still actively updated. Many people who run servers have gotten used to it and no wonder. It's still pretty good, if you eliminate few of it's exploits with certain cvars marked as cheat but if you tell someone who has been running mani to switch sourcemod, its like going back in time.

I am aware that mani sort of supported sourcemod in the past and gave some old code of mani's mod for the developers to see. He was a great guy and brought joy to many server owners with his plugin. Too bad he went away. Sourcemod is getting all kinds of plugins all the time and it's getting better but it's just not there yet.

From my experience, sourcemod with couple custom plugins added is already left mani in the dust behind. It is already here, it is already doing what its supposed to do and its no way going anywhere back in time, except forward. Mani was good in its own time, time to move on now. Being used to something and not willing to try new things is lagging in my view.
