Good luck getting anyone to give you ftp access, that's the key to the game soul can't just give that away.
Hell with me and the SimplyBrony group, it was a fight to get access to anything, but I was the one that got there new site nice and pretty, then I got access to only test server files, where I gained more traffic to the 1 server that was not meant to be public (or exist), then I got access to EVERYTHING. And now I run/maintain their site, and TF2 servers.

We run our own machines with chroots, why would FTP access be of any issue when the servers are isolated from one and other?

Huh... Thanks will look into chroots, we run Ubuntu for our game servers.

Update to my last post - I can provide you a test server in Missouri, New Jersey, or San Jose. And as a sidenote, I will not limit the capabilities of what you can do with the server.

No its just that these servers are owned by a 17 year old boy and only three people have access to them, I am one of them. There are 4 servers ran out of a shed with a 20GB/s network line. One is a minecraft server, another a hosts 6 hlds servers, then one is a web server, then the last is a back up server. So yea.
