I'm having an issue here, I set up SMDJ and all I get when I do /songlist is "Couldn't connect to MySQL server". I made sure the port and IP are right, but it's still not working.

Hi Dr Mckay, I disable bots ingame and both error solved
- Error parsing BotProfile.db - unknown attribute 'Rank"
- Missing shutdown function for Sys_InitAuthentication <> : Sys_ShutdownAuthetication <>

Also when server wake up from hibernation , smdj need to be reload

Make sure addons/sourcemod/data exists and is writable.

Dr Mckay the smdj.txt is writable

Able to play songs in server and to player. Without bots,system will not crash
but after map changing or wake up from hibernation mode, plugin need to manually reload.

bot issues resolved, no more crashes!

Isn't there a log in so other users can upload their music and not have access to nuking the database? Also track who uploaded what and maybe have a limit on how much they can upload? I just want it for replacing the terrible hldj with something much better quality. Im sure something could be written or has already been. Sorry i havent read the past posts since there's too many.
It would also be better if only music the client uploaded could be played. I guess I got a lot of work to do here. Thanks for this great plugin, I hope it wont be too hard to edit.

Hey, Dr. McKay. I've managed to set everything up, and I'm able to connect to the interface by web browser and play songs successfully. The mod also displays the songs in-game, but cannot play them. Using the debug, it tells me the requested URL /index.php was not found on the server. Note that it says /index.php and not /smdj/SMDJWebInterface/index.php, which is the directory I have it in. I know that I also have the smdj_url set to "http://OnlyGivingThisAtRequest.site.nfoservers.com/smdj/SMDJWebInterface/". And as I said, it works when I visit this with my browser, so yeah, everything I know stops there, I guess. If you want more details, I can give them to you.

Help would be very greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance, if not for ever getting this working, then for taking the time to make this for everyone

Just one minor suggestion. On the web interface, the URL is displayed without a trailing / so anyone copying and pasting this info into their config will have problems as I did.

When you leave out the trailing /, !songlist works, but !music and !dj both reply that there are no songs to display. Once I added the trailing / to the URL in the config, everything works perfectly.

It turns out that was one of my two problems. The second was that the the interface files have to be stored one directory below the root of the URL.

has to be "http://something.tarddomain.com/smdjorsomething"
wherein the index.php, the music folder, the .css files, and everything have to be stored in "smdjorsomething"

You cannot do "http://something.tarddomain.com/badidea/smdjorsomething"
