    • Overrides Valves 'God Frames' .. the time right after being Pounced / Pulled / Ridden or Freed / Untied / Unseated / Unpummeled in which Survivors magically take zero damage.


    For example: If a Survivor is standing in a fully active Spit area, and you Smokerpull him, he gets invincible for 2 seconds after your pull and for 2 seconds more when your tongue breaks. He easily dodges 20-30 damage that way. [Did i mention you cant control whom the damn tongue targets?!] I call BS on that.

    Another example: You land on a Survivor in a beautiful arc and get a satisfying 25 Pounce bonus ... until you realize a Jockey had ridden the Survivor in the last fraction of a second, and you get NOTHING.

    Same goes for Survivors standing up from being Pounced .. basically all situations in which the game DOESN'T APPLY any damage you deal to Survivors.


    The Plugin monitors 'God Frame' creating events. It then checks affected Survivors health after an attack hit them, and if it finds the damage wasnt applied, it makes sure it does.


    • Damage dealt by the Plugin is correctly scored for the Infected responsible.


    By default, only Special Infected [not the Witch] attacks get to override god frames. There is a convar by which you can extend that to Commons, but be warned. You can easily lose 50 health while getting up from a Pounce and being swarmed by Zombies.



    Convars:
    • l4d2_god_frames_be_gone_version - informative
    • l4d2_god_frames_be_gone_enabled - controlling
    • l4d2_god_frames_be_gone_commons - (default 0) allow commons to pierce god frames
    • l4d2_god_frames_be_gone_debug (default 0) Sum of debug flags for debug outputs; 1-console, 2-log, 4-chat
    • l4d2_god_frames_be_gone_4spitter (default 1) Does Spitter damage override god frames?

    Requires SDKHooks

    oh man, you have to bear my children

    nothing more annoying then landing a 50dmg pounce and getting 0.

    any chance of future updates being SI specific?

    now that i think about it, the spitter might become OP with this, getting out of goo, and landing a 0dmg 25 don't seem to warrant the same treatment.

    It's a good plugin no doubt about it, BUT..

    It's another plugin to the advantage of the infected. I think 95% of the plugins is made for special infected. Imho survivors need some more attention because it gets harder and harder to balance out the game this way.

    Just a tip, ur a good plugin writer I'm not and I would love to see something that would benefit the survivors for a change.

    There's a fair number of plugins that work to the Survivors' advantage -- incapped magnums is a very good one if you want to give them a better chance of regaining their feet when they're down.

    Very good plugin again. I'm asking my player base what they think about it first before I add it.

    It is true, there are more mods for Infected then Survivors, would like to see more Survivors mods.

    for the most part - no..
    but a spit on victim who gets pounced and rescued w/i a second, avoids about 95% of the spit damage (mostly because spit damage ramps up over time).
