Hi, I wish to know how many of you guys (and gals) here has a 780G based motherboard and a Phenom X4 or any kind of AMD CPU?

I wish to know that because I'm buying myself a similar rig for my HLDS CS 1.6 server, and here is a favour that I wish to ask any of you.

Get HLDS, install it and run it in console mode. Run Windows Media Player, and tell me how many FPS do you have in HLDS.

I have a Phenom II X4 955 and an AMD 790GX board and I have 1000fps when I run HLDS server. So I want to have maximum FPS possible when I buy 780G chipset and a Phenom X4 9950 CPU. I want to know if I can have 1000fps with 780G chipset aswell as with 790GX chipset.

Please do that for me, thanks.

Serverside frames are processed (and limited) by the CPU, not the GPU. The GPU is irrelevant.

I know that man, what i was asking is something totally different than the GPU. Chipset and CPU are relevant here. I need to know if someone has AMD's 780G chipset because 790GX chipset can provide 1000fps, and I need to know if 780G can do it too, because I dont want to spend 150€ for 790GX board if 780G can do it too and it costs around 80€

Even the chipset is irrelevant, although less than the GPU. Any server based on any chipset with a relatively new CPU can run servers with 1000 frames per second. Even my Pentium II based laptop (running at 400MHz) could do that. If your hardware can run HLDS, it can run HLDS at a thousand fps. The question is, with how many occupied slots and how stable will it be...

Hmm, I had a nForce 4 SLI chipset and it couldn't run at 1000fps, when I got AMD 790GX chipset at first I had AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ and it ran at 1000fps. With 20 of 20 occupied slots it did drop hardly though. But now it doesn't drop for a single fps when I got myself AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU.
