in my case, it re-updated steamcmd and the old existing test_server (emptied its folders and refilled them at the end (valve, cstrike and czero)).

@ANTICHRISTUS I've AVG Internet Security 2014 installed. My computer is clean.

I searched, but didn't get any solution. The strange thing is that I copied my complete hlds folder to my pen drive and went to my friends (3) house to see whether that hlds has a problem or not. It worked in all of my friends computer Win 7, Win 8 & Win 7. I think I've to format my lappy with Win 8 again. I'll upload that .bat files in case someone encounters the same problem.

I think I've to format my lappy with Win 8 again.

do not format !! use a "Live OS" and delete/move/hide anything useless before to reinstall.

Issue fixed. It works smooth after I formatted my lappy. Seems to be there might be some registry or firewall problems in the previous one.

You should start server with -console param for seeing any error related to server start

Hi, i dont know if you problem been solved or not yet but i put The Solution for who comes here to fix his HLDS :

STEP 1 : Close your HLDS and go to your game folder %gamedir%\Half-Life\ or your cutom folder, Find liblist.gam edit it to :

Than restart your HLDS, it should work now, but the server is not listening to any of amx or metamod dll files, to get AMXmodX back you can edit liblist.gam file to :
