You have to manually compile the search url yourself for it to work:

Then add: &query=Query+goes+here
Forum specific: &forumchoice[]=forumid (eg. &forumchoice[]=11)
There are many other things that go in the search url, but those are the most common I've worked with.

While you may think Exolent was lying, or you just can't read, he's mostly correct. When you link a search ID, as you are doing, it will only work for a short amount of time. The upshot? Don't do it. If you want to link a search, do it as Exolent describes.
