This is what happens on addon maps (see screenshot)
If you're local server hoster, please use this one plugin. For everyone else my fix should working fine.

There open the file data/l4d_info_editor_mission.cfg and put "survivor_set" "2" on the "all" block and it's works for local server hoster. Using Hand fix with this plugin together makes L4D2 arms and icons for everyone.

if this ("survivor_set" "2") is not removed, then the name of the bots is displayed correctly.
I also checked by removing your plugin and leaving it ("survivor_set" "2"), then the name of the bots is also displayed correctly, so I conclude that your plugin is not working on the local server.

now it's like this on all l4d1 maps
if I play, for example, for Bill, then I will not be visible when you press tab

I still have no idea what this particular cvar is actually about, the default value is 0, and why should I use the value 1. I'd be glad if someone explains more about it...

I think that's because you forced set survivor_set 2, so your survivor would only be visible in the [TAB] when you use L4D2 survivor (survivor_set 2).

On the other hand, if you remove survivor_set 2, then the game use default survivor_set 1 on L4D1 map, so your survivor would only visible in the [TAB] when you use L4D1 survivor (survivor_set 1).

If i understand corretly you want it to start from whatever survivor_set would of been default before character manager does stuff right?

i'v been asked that already but i'm not sure on how to do it yet.

Manages people for character manager as alot of people use character changes rather than forcing it on people server managers can control that, as for identityfix that is for whatever other you using as it wont maintain anything on takeovers.

Not really something i'm going to do it provides little gain unless you use 4 or less survivors and if you using this plugin you most likely will not be using 4 survivors.

What about systems that rely on having 4 survivors (players + bots) at total but will dynamically add new survivor slots for anyone joining that will not grant any replacement survivor bots if the player leaves?

I recall relying on that system in the past as my 8-survivor infected balance overwhelmed players a bit when there were 4 total bots comprising the survivor team of 8 but would otherwise work if the large majority of survivors were players, so I compromised by just having the extra 4 be player-only survivors.

Then again it's up to you to support it, so not much worries here if you do decide not to. My L4D2-binge-days are over, anyway.
