Treating my lad this xmas and i know he wants a mid range gaming laptop.
I fully understand a desktop is better but he wants.....what he wants !

My budget is £750 TOPS.

I am thinking top end core i5...8-16g of ram and that's about all i know on gaming laptops.

He is using a core-i3 with on board at the mo so his games are not that graphics hungry but that's because the laptop is shite.

Any help here is much appreciated.

Just because he doesn't currently play graphics intensive games doesn't mean he won't want to in the future! Definitely get him something with a dedicated graphics card.

I'd suggest you get a laptop that has a 8th generation i5 processor, 16 GB HyperX RAM and a GTX 1060 3 GB, or maybe a Radeon RX 470 4 GB.
