Hi everebody!

Can you please tell me the best configuration for Team Strength Limits
if maxplayers on server are 28... I am using now default values. Is it possible to achive better balancing results through Team Strength Limits modification?

here's the cfg i'm using. we have a 24 man server and the map changes after 30 minutes or the first team to 10 wins. i needed it to be a little more aggressive than default.

Studdering John having your min-rating at 1.0 would make PTBx make wayyy to many unnecessary switches.

Here is my config:

//====================
// PTBx Configuration
//====================

//-----------------
// To disable PTBx, uncomment only following line
// NOTE! Use server command "plugin_pause" to pause
// the MbrXS plugin and all it's modules.
//-----------------
//ptb off

//------------------------
// Team Selection Control
//------------------------
//ptb limitjoin on
//ptb limitafter 0
//ptb limitmin 0
ptb maxsize 26
//ptb maxdiff 2
ptb autorounds 0
ptb wtjauto 25
ptb wtjkick 50
ptb kick off
//ptb savewtj off

//------------------------
// Team Balancing Actions
//------------------------
//ptb switch on
ptb switchafter 2
//ptb switchmin 3
ptb switchfreq 0
ptb playerfreq 5
//ptb forceswitch 3

// switch dead only (0:no, 1nly, 2:dead first)
ptb deadonly 0

//----------
// Messages

ptb tellwtj off
//ptb announce on
//ptb sayok on
//ptb typesay on

//----------------------
// Team Strength Limits

ptb maxstreak 1
ptb maxscore 1
//ptb scorehist 0
ptb minrating 1.2
ptb maxrating 1.6
ptb superrating 2.4
//ptb maxincidents 50
//ptb scaledown 2
//ptb initvalue 5

what can i say, we're not a server full of 1337 skeelz. but really, we only play to 10 wins, so we need things to happen faster. 1.0 was a little too fast, so yeah, we're back at 1.2.

admin_ptb switchfreq <value> (default: 1) - maximum team switching frequency
admin_ptb playerfreq <value> (default: 3) - maximum player switching frequency

What do those lines mean?

The second one is how many times a player can be switched over? But what does the switchfreq mean? How many times to switch total during one map? Or what?

switchfreq
1: any player can be swithed every round
2: any player can be swithed every second round, ie after a player switch there will be at least one round until next switch.
3: any player can be swithed every third round, ie after a player switch there will be at least two rounds until next switch.

playerfreq
1: a specific player can be swithed every round
2: a specific player can only be swithed every second round, ie after the specific player has been switched there will be at least one round until that player will be switched next time.
3: a specific player can only be swithed every third round, ie after the specific player has been switched there will be at least two rounds until that player will be switched next time.

If playerfreq is lower than switchfreq, then switchfreq will be honoured.

Ex. playerfreq = 1, switchfreq = 3: then a player switch CAN happen every third round (but it can take more rounds until a switch WILL happen), but as playerfreq is set to 1 then it could be the same player every time.

Ex. playerfreq = 3, switchfreq = 1: then a player switch CAN happen every round (but it can take more rounds until a switch WILL happen), but as playerfreq is set to 3 then the same player CAN only be switched every third round (but it can take more rounds until the player WILL be switched).

If you only want a specific player to be switched only once a round then set playerfreq to 9999 (ie it will take at least 9998 round until the same player will be switched again).
