Hi All,

Can anyone help with the above problem , i have followed the docs put the .so file in the addons/matemod/bin folder added the line

GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin

in my gameinfo.txt restarted server and ..... nothing

Anyone know of anything i must do before i try troubleshooting? or any info i can post on here that will help troubleshoot?

It's "metamod," not "matemod" ;]
Attach your gameinfo.txt so I can double check it.

hehehe typos ..... it isnt like that in the server (but i had to check) here is the gameinfo.txt

Is your server not booting? is it booting at all? Is it booting and not loading?

If it is booting and crashing immediately it's probably because your server just doesn't like the way the gameinfo.txt was saved (I have run into this more than once, it sucks) so I generally open it in a third party editor like crimson editor and it works fine.

that gameinfo.txt looks fine to me though...confusing really...

That looks right to me. When you type "meta list," nothing shows up?

The server boots first time with no crashes - as though it is working but when i type meta list in console nothing happens?

I'll see what I can do to recreate the situation. Downloading Ship server files right now.

Also, are you installing via the Steam setup? or via HLDSUpdateTool or is it rented from a Game Server Provider? or is it a Listen Server?

the listen server thing, ignor, since you said it's an so I'm assuming linux, well, I'm windows honestly, and I cannot recreate the issue, however, I can notice a bit of confusion. (I almost did this myself)

Inside the directory where srcds_run is, is another directory called "ship" make sure that's the place where the addons directory resides in, not at the same level as srcds_run.

Metamod honestly works just find for me with The Ship, I have not tested any plugins alongside it or in it, but it loads just fine...apart from the plethora of errors the source dedicated server tells me about missing files...but those have nothing to do with metamod, and metamod is working just fine.

Maybe just a linux problem i have tried everything but no joy, are there any plugins for MMS that do work with the ship anyone know?

Any plugin that claims support for HL2DM should (in theory) work with The Ship, as HL2DM is the minimum base that most plugins would run on.

So, BAT should technically work but only with the escape menus. And probably a few others, the only thing I can tell you is trial and error though.

Andre, what are your system specs, including what distribution and version of linux you're using, maybe I can use one of my extra PC's to try and recreate the error...if I can build a quick crappy one...
