We just installed sourcemod and the admins.cfg has everyone set up the same way. I was just wandering why some people have admin and others don't. This is a setup of what we have without there name and ID , but this person has admin and others don't. Flag is set to z but others that only have bcdj is working. Any ideas? Thx for any help!

First thing would be to check the steamIDs are actually correct... otherwise post the whole admins.cfg here and see if anyone can point out the problem.

Hi There

I have dropped mani admin plugin from our servers and have gone for source mod and meta mod which HLstatsX recommend runs with there product.

However could somebody help me on the format for adding a clients.txt file i have never writen one for Source mod or do i know what or where to add this file if somebody could give me an example to follow and tell me where to add it i would be very grateful.

Yep that was a greta help now on the above ty.

One last Question if i may.

Where do i add the file as i have read the above which hasent made any sense what so ever, so i havent got a clue where to add the file in the Source Mod.

This is what i would normally do with Mani admin as list below and would like to know the order that i need to add my admin file to Source Mod and where


OrangeBox / dod /addons / Mani Admin

so i know i got to go

Orangebox / dod / addons/ Source Mod

Then where do i place the file after that please.

You would need to install the admins.cfg file in your sourcemod\configs folder. Hope this helps

Admins_simple.ini was the way to go for me its easy and works great.
Heres my example set up

Z is for all, set the letter functions for your admins and your good to go


Type in console sm_admin or bind \ sm_admin
