I was wondering when does the brass bell wav go off and what are these for if you dont have them in the gungame download.
precache_sound("buttons/bell1.wav");
precache_sound("common/null.wav");

The brass bell sound is played when friendly is turned on (gg_ff_auto) because someone reached the grenade level.

The bell1 sound is played when you gain score. It's a default HL sound, so clients don't need to download it.

The null sound is used to stop an existing sound from playing (null is basically a blank sound file, it just overrides the channel). It, too, is a default HL sound, so clients don't need to download it.

Im trying to change the leveldown wav so I edited the sma file and change the cvar and precache to the new wav file name. Then I compiled the sma file deleted the old wav file out of the server put the new one in and restarted the server. Now I get nothing. If I don't delete the old leveldown file out of my cstrike/sound/gungame folder I still here the old sound. I made sure that the .wav file was in 16bit mono to. Can anyone help me. I remember a post on it before but now I cant find it.

The bold, the bold!

You don't need to recompile the .sma file. Just change the cvar value in gungame.cfg and changelevel twice.
