Linux mdk9.2 but wait for real optimised binaries from valve to cause less cpu usage.

I wouldn't trust Windows to run a dedicated server. Hell I wouldn't trust windows to run my IRC client! Too bad vavle didn't release a linux version of Counter-Strike... I have to use WineX to get it working...
So... I voted for Linux.
I run my dedicated server + lan router on Fedora Core 1 with the nptl kernel and glibc 2.3 ... it's WAY faster then any other windows machine... I can't wait for Fedora Core 2 with a 2.6 kernel... that will speed up things!

Never ever use Windows for server, ever. Use Linux, usually for the uptime of a Linux server is 3 figure day, like 300 days uptime and for a windows server? Not more than a month under my experience.

I use Linux for any server. I'm fully satisfied with these and I like it much more than Windows ...
