I believe most of the touch enhancements are inside of this RC...most weren't inside of the betas.

As far as the start menu goes, you realize you can switch back to classic style on 7 right? It doesnt HAVE to be like it currently is with the pinned programs. Personally, I prefer pinning programs to the start menu, then you just use Win + 1 / 2 / 3 to launch them, depending on the order they are in. Then again, I run an iconless and clear desktop, using primarily the explorer function of the user pinned taskbar and the search feature of Windows.

YOu can make it look like classic windows but I haven't been able to make it function like classic windows. It still has the pinned programs and they are grouped which I hate and you can't turn that off like you can in XP. Start Menu is still 2 feet wide .

Fuzzy [half-ass] fixed (Didn't fix Windows dialogs). ClearType text should say FuzzyType text.

I'm thinking that if they drop support for XP I will stop using computers.

They already said they would in 2010 or 2011

I think he means "too" ... as in your character is too lawful

He's saying that pirated versions of the Win 7 RC are already out so getting the official one without virii/keyloggers/trojans/do-I-need-to-continue? from MS' site is clearly just silly.

Clearly.

I find the sparkles/fades/blurs/flashes/etc to be a little bit distracting, but I'm accustomed to plain XP. Win7 definitely runs quicker and it has a lot of nice built-in features.

I may have to switch soon. The one thing that annoys me the most is that it ignores the labels of my drives and reassigns its own labels, so C:\ is always the main drive, regardless of my partitions. This makes it annoying to use shortcuts on my other drives.

You can change that in Disk Management (type it on the start menu search thing, but it's probably in the Control Panel somwhere too).
