Alright, when my friend tried to join he got the error "bad server address public" but i guess thats because he needs to be in my hamachi since the ip is from my hamachi ipv4..(he also got an error saying the server only allows 4 players when he tried to join from "openserverbrowser")
we'll try again tomorrow.

Ask him to try this method.

1. Right click on your name.
2. Pick "View game info"
3. "Join Game"

but what if he cant see my server on the server browser? some of my friends said they cant see my server on the server browser..

Also, im using more than one plugin that allows more than 4 players, i dont know if this causes any issues.
I managed to get my server unreserved using the plugin diorfo linked (remove lobby reservation)
once my server was full with 4 players i saw the status on the console and it said unreserved

(i also forgot to mention that i am trying to do this on left 4 dead 1 co-op campaign)


Edit: i tried the server.cfg thing, i put the command there "sv_maxplayers 16" but when i type status on console, it says 4 max, i need to type the command on the console to make it 16, the server.cfg is not working

The only reason why that plugin would work is if you are using Left4Downtown2. That is completely separate issue then. I'm not sure what else you are running and can't really recommend anything without proper information.

Im using Multislots, L4dToolZ, Left 4 Downtown and the remove lobby reservation when full.
(these are the ones i've downloaded that can change max players)

You don't need remove lobby reservation with L4DToolz. As far as I know, if you pick local hosting, your friends should be able to join you without an issue. Your server should say "unreserved".

After a few days trying and trying i managed to get it working on a listed server, thanks man

can somebody clarify is it possible to have working "return to lobby" vote when the server is in unreserved mode?

I mean the one from GUI, not "callvote ...."

sv_maxplayers - max human players that can join your server. -1 to disable and use standart check (range 0 to 32)
sv_removehumanlimit - remove kick for players when they are more than 8 for vs and 4 for coop(0 to disable, 1 to enable)
sv_force_unreserved - if you set it to 1 before connection from lobby your server will stay unreserved and allow players to connect using connect command, this command sets sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0, so you need to create lobby using ms_force_dedicated_server and then connect to server, your friends may see wrong max players in friend lobby, so give them ip.
