Hi.

Some hosting panels have a web-client, which implements a cs1.6 server's console. I want create that feature but i don't know how do that.

How to retrieve server's console output? Using a rcon (socket) or maybe parsing server's logs?

I would prefer parsing server logs .. reading it every 2 seconds and forwarding/printing the output somewhere.

I have read about somewhere that you can hook and intercept any exe file .. (No idea about how ..) maybe some knowledgeable person can help you in this or Hail Google

by what I've noticed, GameCP being the most popular does this:
p̶a̶r̶s̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶o̶g̶s̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶w̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶(̶n̶o̶ ̶i̶d̶e̶a̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶r̶e̶,̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶r̶c̶o̶n̶ ̶s̶e̶t̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶s̶e̶r̶v̶e̶r̶s̶)̶
takes the logs directly from the server console
saves them in a database
prints them to the user
then prints them to a separate complete one-file-only log that's like a week of the server's activity

Hmm. I guess it's a bad idea because saving log to file and database creates a unnecessary I/O to hard drive.

not really, it's a few kilobytes at most
just sayin how they do it, the problem with rcon is that if you disable it the panel becomes useless

I found a right way for collecting server's log.

At server you must run this commands:
log on
logaddress mylogserver.address.com:12345

Now, the goldsource/source server will send log to mylogserver.address.com on port 12345.
