This looks like a good plugin that would work for my server. I just have 1 question. Does it have a cvar for blocking the "player has changes his name to player" and if so which one.

Regardless of cfg setting, "Playername has joined the game." seems to always stay on.
Everything else seems fine, but its bugging me.

Is this issue happening for anyone else?

We're having this issue too. Don't know when it started happening but it wasn't always this way.

player_connect

With:

player_connect_client
