Pretty much as the title suggests, I'm interested in trying to figure out the best way to make a sprite orbit a player, I've figured out a few possibilities but none that I'd consider perfect.

I could place a sprite, then nearly constantly move it, or I could POSSIBLY create a gif of the orb rotating then use it as the sprite for a TE ring (no clue if that'd work - haven't played around with TE's enough to know.).

Does anyone have another idea of how they might do it?

Oh excellent, I was hoping I'd be able to do something like that, but hadn't heard of that particular entity before.

Can you even attach the sprite to the player in the first place?

The idea is not to attach the sprite to the player at all, but to the func_rotating (which does support parenting).
