I'm little late opening this thread, but better later than never.
For those, watching the Official FF2 github, you can see there was little activity until now. Reasons are abandoning the FF2 project by Wliu, low motivation from my side(and others) to continue support(mainly lack of competition). Since FF2 Batfox appeared, I started to see that Wliu postponed(or greatly resisted) to add new features.

Now that there are stimuli and more free time, it's the perfect reason to develop and release new FF2 version, Freak Fortress 2 1.11.0, containing features, which were planned for the "unlikely to release" Freak Fortress 2 2.0

For those, who are unaware of the features/bug fixes, which will be included, they are available here:

add the new system of music possibly? (used on bbg fork,batfoxkid fork and my own fork)

Naydef, idk, but maybe to help Batfoxkid with FF2 fork, and turn it to something like FF2 2.0, because it IS clearly looks like FF2 2.0 and even better.
