In the old days, you had to download the whole release when a new version of AMX came out. I would love if there was, when a new release comes out, both a FULL install, and an UDDATE install (oh, with a FULL changelog). This would make life 100x easier for us admins.

There may be a release where every file is changed. Not likely however. But what really pissed me off with the old amx releases was even when, say, when the cfg's stayed the same, and it was only some dlls or .so's that changed, you still had to unzip a WHOLE install and it would overwrite all your .ini's and .cfgs. SOOOO incredibly annying.

Thats if you unziped it to the same folder. What you SHOULD always do when upgrading is unzip to a new folder, read the changelog(if any), and copy your needed data to the new version. Then over right - Todays IT tip brought to you by: RTFM

Thats a messy, unnescesary, and sloppy way of updating. There is simply so reason for it. Not 1.

Thank God when steam updates they dont make you download the entire steam library. Thank God when you updated mysql, it doesnt overrite your db's. Thank god when you update php, apache, hell, ANY respectable package it at least, if nothing else, SAVES your old .cfg's

Though, you will have to release documention about the changes, what to modify, and how to have a good game of IOS!(Due to AMX not having any real affiliation with IOS the last part of such comment is false)
