Hi,

I have a CS 1.6 server right now that's hosted through gameservers, and it's just not putting out that great of ping/registry so I have decided to switch server hosts.

I've looked at a few, and I think DarkStar seems to be promising, but I've heard some mixed reviews, but most were billing problems(user errors).

Anyone else have any suggestions for server hosts? Gameservers is easy to use with clanpay, control panel, and easy support ticket system, but the server quality for the price is just horrible. I can get a DarkStar server for $28.60 a month with true 500fps. I pay $25 a month for gameservers 100fps...

Well this site advertises for Xfactor servers and I used to have a DarkStar server. I had a 500 FPS server and it never went about 250 FPS. It's a good pub server but not a good match server if that's what you are looking for.

I saw an issue like that happen from a review I read, but the person having that problem called em after seeing the info from rcon stats and had them bump it up to 500fps.

ignorance is bliss i suppose if you don't notice a difference.

Btw, I do have a public server, not a scrim/match server, so it's not THAT big of a deal, but I'd still like to please our users.
