Bail found that the server handles "status" as well as a few other commands in a special manner and the client is not tracked in the same way as normal commands. Since this isn't something many users will care about, it is not likely to be addressed.

voogru has a method to properly "hook" which client has ran the command (using an extension, or in his case a generic C++ addon), but I'm pretty sure he's not going to release it as he said it will allow users to do much more volatile stuff that could screw up a lot of things.

bl4nk: wouldn't that be just using the normal method of SetCommandClient hook? i'm just making this assumption since i don't even know how sourcemod does hook ConCommand

No, I believe you have to go through the engine to get the client who ran the command.
