Im not really sure that its gonna get happend, because Steam API stills being the same in pages that uses some functions from the API, like those who use an option to login with Steam to their page. That stills with the same code since some years ago!

Suggestion: you can make the background change depending of the server map. For example, if the server map is de_inferno, then the server site will appear with a de_inferno background.

Much has been happened. Besides the CS2's Players Win animations, there is also a global ranking system among servers that uses this system, so "Best players of all EMatch servers" is now a thing.

Now as soon as you click on any of the players inside the top15, it opens a profile-like page with some basic data and all matches history
