I get on my computer start up my dedicated server. So when i go to get on it it doesnt let me join. even know people are on. so then i type the IP in & nothing comes up. my IP on my dedicated server says:192.168.1.65:27015
(which i thought was a local address) but when i look it up the IP says this:70.253.178.248:27015 so then i take that IP and try to put it in the server favorites & nothing comes up. (i thought when your IP changes its called a dynamic IP or something.) But anyway it will not work at all, other people can get on my server but i cannot get in my own server.
If anyone knows what the problem is i would appreciate it alot.

Also, i was wondering is there anyway to handle my server's ping.
say if were all playing some cs on my server were all just playing & sometimes if i get killed the ping rises from 38 to 399 (499,599,& up to 2999)
& sometimes even if i didnt die the ping will raise real high. A friend of mine lives 2 blocks away & his ping might go up really high for no reason.
If there is anyway to fix the ping or maybe or somehow control it a little. or anything i did wrong.

EDIT: everyonce in awhile i can find my server, (but other times like today.)
I cannot ever find it so i cant even get on my own server. and yes i have re-installed it, unistalled it. But it might work for a day but the next day its the same deal again.

The ping problem is probobly, because you have bad internet or your computer isn't good enaugh to handle the server and you playing CS at the same time.

well also ive had a cs server for 3 years and my ping very rarely went above 250.

Go to www.speakeasy.net/speedtest or any other speedtest and post the results for me please. Or it can also be, because someone is using your internet if you have wireless or someone in your house might be downloading.

That is your download speed skaterboy, your upload speed is what matters for your server. I have a really fast download speed, but slow upload speed, I can't run a server either.

I have both fast, but I still can't run a server on my computer since my ISP put a bandwidth limit on it and my internet gets really slow after couple of days and there can't be more then 4 people in the server.

Download Speed: 24459 kbps (3057.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3008 kbps (376 KB/sec transfer rate)
