Well I used saysounds as an example of a plugin working correctly.. Its everything else that seems to be delayed. My server is running a Source 2007 mod (age of chivalry).

Never had problem with it removing sv_downloadurl but I never used it on CS:GO, for now my only problem is that none of the files on it is downloaded (using SteamPipe version).

i can put this in all of the download files, simple and normal

!edit "yea i just downloaded and used both the smx files, at ur post u show one link that works with steampipe," none of them wanted to download anything. i could add all files from suigentu.
and this wont work, i can put them in simple one. wont work. i deleted all the files from my css folder. and yea it wont detect them or even download them. doing files (download only)
will also not even download the files. and when i put these files in sm_skinchooserdownloads the files will download/and found if exsisting except the material files. is there any other version of a download helper for sourcemod somewhere? " !edit end"

nomatter what, it wont download. all other skins i have on my server downloads fine and thats without this tool. so i came here to try getting this downloaded. i saw puthing this in decals should work. but did it work, no. and ofcourse i took away it away from the other lists like models - sounds also in the simple one

this just wont download properly. but in the skinchooser it actually can see i dont have the model installed on my css and will redownload them to me like this CreateFragmentsFromFile: 'materials/models/player/Suigintou/skin.vtf' doesn't exist.
but it doesnt really save the files and wont download them properly. so i came here and this tool wont even recognise or download this model. the model files works but thats from skinchooser and the material files just dont want to.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone use this for L4D2 on SteamPipe ?
The plugin works for the most part fine, I can get it to download the file to the client (yes I get the black screen when downloading, I can live with that), but when the file transfer is completed you are just left with a black screen. It does not let you join the game server.
You have to reconnect to the game server again to join it. Is this the current correct behaviour of this plugin, or do I need to do something else here?
I would really love to have this to play custom sounds but in its current state, and lets face it the L4D2 community people will just rage quit and never come back to my server.
I have currently disabled this until hopefully a solution can be found.
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe what you are experiencing has nothing to do with this plugin. Since all this plugin does is add files to the download table.

Yes, I am pretty sure you are correct. It downloads the files correctly to the clients as expected.
It seems going by other posts that other games allow the download and then you can enter the server to play still.
This doesn't seem to be the case in L4D2 unless I am missing something. Can anyone help confirm this for me, or help me out if I am incorrect with a solution.
This is a great idea but unfortunately useless for l4d2 communities as people will not reconnect.

Hello, I am having a problem with this plugin. I am not sure what is the cause of it.

Here's the situation.
I have 1 sound file (actually alot, but since all the attempt has failed, i'll make it 1 sound file so it'll be simpler, other sound files are in same format as well anyway).

The game is Team Fortress 2
My Goal is to force every player that connects to one of my server that is currently running sm_downloader Downloads the mentioned sound file.
The file name is boss1.mp3 (the format is mp3 because its a music file and non-loop)
I have servers that i remotely control from FileZilla.
I made a custom directory folder in my server to store the sound file.

Server Directory

tf/download/sound/orange_boss/boss1.mp3

Is this where i was wrong? That i shouldn't have put custom sounds on download/sound?
Correct me if i'm wrong.

I also own a FastDL web to host my personal fastDL needs for players.
in FastDL, the directory is:

tf2/sound/orange_boss/boss1.mp3.bz2

My FastDL is running Linux that it is compulsory for me to upload the sound files in a form of bz2. Is that a mistake or must i correct something over there?

It seemed so simple at first when i tried to install this plugin, but hours of attempting to fix things, i couldnt figure a way.
sv_pure is 0
allowuploads and downloads is obviously 1
The problems:
The sound files would not download
And in server, when i do rcon sm_play @all orange_boss/boss1.mp3
it gave me missing file error (Well obviously, but just being thorough here)

Here's also my doubt
Since my FastDL supports .bz2 and i would rather post the sound file in .bz2, i am not sure of what to put in the download.ini
Should it be FastDL path? or server path? Please enlighten me with this one.
