I'd like to know which plugins do you guys enable on your servers (CSGO, L4D2 and TF2). I did enable the "Required" and "Recommended".

I am wondering if I should enable the "Optional" but I guess a member here said that Anti-Wallhack and Spinhack Detector use a lot of cpu, causing lags.

Also, how works "Global Banlists"? Should I use those 3 plugins?

About smac.cfg what config is safe to use for:
smac_aimbot_ban
smac_autotrigger_ban
smac_eyetest_ban

PS: I saw some smac.cfg with more cvars, is this normal? My file has only those cvars:
Quote:

Be carefull with the eyetest, I get a lot off falsebans and Im currently beta testing a new one on l4d2.
For now non of you modules ban, and also Id like to add that the use of autotrigger ban should be based on plugins, if you say have a auto bunnyhop, do avoid it.

At least set the eytest to 0 and ask in the eyetest thread if the detections are acurate.

Humm right, should I use banlists plugins? What about "Optional"?

Thanks

The banlist one I use is the eac witch just kick annyone with a vac ban from anny engine, so if Im banned from hl1 and join your hl2/tf2 I get kicked.
I use all modules in l4d2 even the optional once, I avoid the kac though, cause I do not like kigen personally, lol.

So when is one banned for hosting custom gamemode lobbies in Call of Duty you kick him from your tf2 server? That doesnt make much sense. It's annoying for normal players and it has zero effect against cheaters (they can always create new free account).

Additional information on each module can be looked up on the wiki.

That's totally up to you. If you trust the communities running these banlists, then feel free to do so.

To avoid confusion, the EAC client (which bans people from communities running EAC) is incompatible with VAC. So their banlist includes VAC bans.

The EAC banlist module comes with a cvar that ignores the included VAC bans by default.
