I don't remember the exact limit, but the game cuts it off somewhere before 128.

@psychonic: Might you create a Native for using the big MOTD? Similar to how ShowMOTDPanel is? It could be really helpful for a lot of plugins that return websites in the MOTD that you simply can't read without scrolling all over.

I don't really think that a native is necessary. Even ShowMOTDPanel is just a stock. A single line modification of it can do the large version.

Love the plugin. It works perfectly when people first join the server, but when someone types motd the motd is messed up and has a ? in a diamond in it. Refrence: http://i.imgur.com/5tUVF.png

Any idea what this might be?


motd brings up the motd.txt and not the dynamic one, is there anyway to have it so it does?

motd brings up the motd.txt and not the dynamic one, is there anyway to have it so it does?

Motd is only viewed on connect. In game the command motd bring up the motd.txt. Replace url after the = with that of your own pointing to your url for your motd. Paste in/over everything in your motd.txt. Save and change map or restart server. motd command will point to that of Dynamic MOTD.

This plugin doesn't seem to be working on TF2 now, maybe one of the updates?

It is still working fine on our CSS servers.

It isn't working on my TF2 server either, but I've only started working with this plugin a day or so ago.

Thanks for TF2 fixes. It seems to be working now. I have SERVER_PUB_IP returning my ip correctly, and VAC_STATUS returns 1 -- also showing up as the icon in the server browser. STEAM_CONNSTATUS returns 0, however.

Presumably steam is working (for achievements, and item drops and all the rest), but I _am_ behind a nat. To that end, I went as far as googling if there was a steam port for srcds. There seems to be one 26901, and it indeed shows up as in use with netstat (along with 27005 and 27015). Forwarding that port hasn't seemed to make the difference. This is most probably not the issue, but it's the only thing I've tried so far.

Still investigating.
