Did you

sm plugins unload cannounce

before deleting?

Did you try to restart your server?

Hmmm, if you have it installed now, make a copy of the cannounce.cfg and cannounce_settings.txt. Then, delete all the files you mentioned from the server and restart you server. Edit both cannounce.cfg and cannounce_settings.txt to your liking and install those first, then install the rest of the plugin files.

That's what I had to do to get the type of message display that I wanted (Which is no IP or Steam ID display, just player name and country) and it works fine.

If a player has a custom join message, and sm_ca_showenhanced is set to 1, is it supposed to display both the custom and enhanced message for that player?

So basically I have it set up like this:

Player'sName from Country'sName has joined the game.


But the thing is anyone that has a custom message set, whenever they join I see this:

Player'sName from Country'sName has joined the game. (This is the enhanced message)
Player's custom join message shown here. (This is the custom message)


I'd like to have enhanced join messages display for everyone when a player joins the game EXCEPT for people that have a custom join message set. I want people that have a custom join message to only show that custom one when they join and not the enhanced. Does this plugin allow that? I don't see the need for both and that kinda defeats the purpose of the custom message. Thanks.

Custom messages won't show & sounds won't play.Not sure if it's the plugin or something with CS:GO.Going to have my GSP do a wipe & reinstall of the server to see if that fixes it.Same message/sound work's just fine on my TF2 server.

Anybody have the GeoIPCity support working on CS:GO? Trying to load the geoipcity.ext.so causes server to crash at startup. I'm betting I need to recompile the extension against.... against.... hmm I might need to dig up an SDK or something.

I tried the version with GeoIPCity, it works for me, but in any case, with or without GeoIPCity, when new players enter into the game, on the server started terrible lags! Finally I was forced to disable this plugin.

Ah, in the process of recompiling the geoipcity extension I remember now why I used the modded version of this plugin.

The modded one uses the geoipcity extension which uses caching etc. to not lag the server. I saw that the original one (in this thread) had been updated recently and added geoipcity support, so I tried to build it and saw that it still needed geocity.inc.

You may want to try the modded one. IIRC you can find it here on forums reading through the geoipcity extension thread:
