Looks like Valve already released another server update to fix it. Updating right now.

EDIT: Still not fixed.. silly Valve.

It's fixed now in the new CSS Beta:

- Fix servers not being able to set sv_hudhint_sound
- Added console variable cl_hudhint_sound

So, after the Beta will become to an official update, it'll be fixed for everyone.

The latest CS:S/engine update (Aug. 17) fixed the issue for normal CS:S.

Bump!, This plugin is useful for Cspromod. The reason is Cspromod use Orangebox Engine, but the Original 2007, not the newest 2009.

Actually this plugin is useful still even on css for some simple reasons:
my trust in this plugin > my trust in valve
