If you used FTP to upload the SO file, you must use BINARY mode instead of ASCII mode
If you want to download it on the server, you must use wget <file-url>

ok so one more question it the server runs great and all but when i type meta list i get

But go to

addons/metamod and check if the plugin.ini still in this folder, and add to the file using text editor

linux addons/amxmodx/dlls/amxmodx_mm_i386.so

Ps.
The "unknown command: meta" its normally to show after the meta list command ;)
