hmm i was wondering how to check a server's sv_downloadurl settings?
i think its possible because its like you go to its URL page to download stuff (models/sounds..etc) but then the problem is were can i see it?

nice bump, rather pointless. Have you tried using one of window's function's to check all connections being used, you can easily use that to trace back to where you download stuff from, another would be to use a search engine to find a good answer and not rely on others to search for you.

I think just like rcon_password, sv_downloadurl is a restricted access CVAR meaning an outside player/user cannot see the variable - only the server owner/users with RCON are able to view it.

As bmann said there is a good reason for restricting this cvar; if one player runs a server and has 1,000s of models, the webhosting and bandwidth to provide for it then another player wants to do the same type of server, they could just STEAL the same sv_downloadurl making it theft of bandwidth and resources. It's not worth trying to "Grab" that cvar for any programmer because 1) it's "technically" illegal (Taking other users bandwidth/space/resources = illegal - called "Hotlinking" and can actually break Intellectual Property laws especially if THEY made the model/map/sprite and/or they PAID for it) and 2) we don't support #1 :-)
