Hi,

There is a lot of info to find about running 12 or 24 slots CS:GO servers

But does anyone know what an 1v1 or a 2v2 CS:GO server uses in terms of CPU and RAM?

CPU doesn't really matter at all with such low slot counts, 2.8Ghz+ would be fine. (1 core per server) Reserve 500MB of RAM per SRCDS instance and something like 20GB diskspace per server and you should be fine.

You already have a configuration?

Yeah, just using the standard ESL config now, 128 ticks though.

If you would need to make an educated guess, how many 1v1 and 2v2 full servers would you think an Intel Xeon E3-1230v2 (3.3 Ghz) with 16GB RAM can handle ?

The Intel Xeon E3-1230v2 has 4 cores and 8 threads. So basically 8 SRCDS instances... however; the servers will only run 4 players at maximum.

It would be trial and error. My guess? Really a guess... 16? (2 per core)

My feeling? 3 per core, so 24... but I don't think so

Thanks for your quick reply, this is already great info for me

I was roughly think about the same numbers for a server with the specs above.

Would you say their will be a noticeable difference between 1v1 and 2v2 servers in terms of CPU & RAM for your guess?

Last question, could you also make a guess for the number of concurrent 5v5 matches?

Really appreciate your help!

I would say 2 per core would be close to capacity.

10 slot @ 128 tick.

So you would disagree with Cooky's guess of 2 per core for 1 vs 1 matches? (2 slot @ 128 tick)
