When I set mp_maxrounds to 8,sometimes it will change map in advance before the round 8,but i dont know why,can somebody help?

mp_maxrounds is just one cvar that controls how long a map lasts.

The others are:
mp_timelimit - If less than 5 minutes are left on the clock when a round ends, the map will change.
mp_winlimit - Max score one team can reach before server changes maps
mp_windifference - Score difference between teams before server changes maps (note that mp_windifference_min applies a minimum score before this is checked)

I forget if mp_timelimit is 0, mp_winlimit is 8, mp_maxrounds is 8, and mp_windifference is 0, will the server move on to the next map after 8 rounds/wins?

In theory, the map could go on forever on a 5cp map where the match keeps stalemating (including in sudden death if you have it on) as neither team wins in a stalemate.

Map would change as soon as either RED or BLU had won 8 rounds regardless of what the other team's score is.

Also, be aware that mp_scrambleteams (unless you pass 2 as an argument) or mp_restartgame will reset the team scores.
