Seriously , Yesterday I was online for more than 4-5 Hours here and i didnt even notice that thread (Maybe because of its location)..

Seeing the priority of that thread i ll suggest moderators to highlight that or something ..
OR a POP-UP or dialog box when old user logs in..

From what I can tell, the announcement was posted around the time the email went out.
