Any idea why it says valve id is pending?
That's not normal is it?

The server is a No-Steam server. Those clients are probably No-Steam clients. The only way to prevent that is to switch to a Steam server

That's incorrect I've played on a non steam server before and it displayed my SteamID, as I know couple of people on that list that are on steam also.

Okay, that doesn't concern me. All I know is that the server is No-Steam cause of the 2 different pending ids.

I wonder why people buy the original CD's for then.
Just because a SERVER is non steam doesn't mean that you can't help the USER.
Which is in this case me and i'm on steam, if a particular important person wasn't in university and his steam connection wasn't blocked I would have made the server nonsteam.
Steam or not, it's about the game itself the support for AMX would drastically go downwards if it wasn't for those that own non-steam servers.
I'm not saying they make or break AMX, it's just retard not to help someone because they are using a non-steam server.
At some point CS didn't have steam at all, it wasn't a problem then to support them now or was it?

Well, the thing is that AMXx 1.8 (and several other versions) were all designed to work CORRECTLY when used on a STEAM server. No-Steam servers are illegal because they have to hack the game files for them to work. It doesn't matter if the User uses Steam or not. If the server is No-Steam, then we don't support it since AMXx is ran on the server. There is no way we can accuratly assist a no-steam server because each one operates slightly different than the rest and has a big difference from a steam server.


I won't close this, but I will move it to OT. If another mod/admin feels that this should be locked/nuked, go ahead.

And even if we were able to accurately assist non-steam users, it still doesn't take away the fact, that they're using an illegal copy of the game. And when it's an illegal copy, and we support it, we're supporting something illegal.

Also, we can't know that you own a legal copy of Steam. You saying it doesn't make it always true.

And for the ending note, here are the forum rules which state that there's no support for Non-steam, and that's also a guideline us forum members should follow.

Ah ok those rules I can understand and will follow from now on.
And you are right about one saying so doesn't mean it is so.
In my case it is so, as i'm not that young anymore (it shows in the game, my reaction isn't as fast as a 16-20 year old).

There really is no reason anymore to buy the original disk cause you can buy counter-strike through steam now really cheap. The only purpose to buy an original disk exactly the reason why people would by an Everquest Titanium cd... If you get my reference there, then message me on IRC or AIM. I doubt anyone on this forum knows what I am talking about without researching it a bit on google first.
