A few friends and I are avid Left 4 Dead 2 players and we've been playing it pretty much none-stop since release.
Several players have grown tired of the (predictable) map rotation and were wondering if it would be possible to create a server plugin to add a little variety.

Maybe let us choose 5 maps from any of the given campaigns OR have the plugin choose 5 random maps.

(Obviously some "rules" would have to be inplace to prevent "Finale" maps from being loaded as the first map to stop the Versus mode ending prematurely. Maybe tell the plugin that map 1 must be map 1 from any of these chosen campaigns, map 2 but be the second map from any of these chosen campaigns, and so on.)

Any idea's and info on where to start, what's (not) possible etc would be greatly appreciated.

Will change the map rotation depending on your settings, however keep in mind you will have to go through the campaign loading screens whenever you switch campaigns.

It will not, however, randomly change the map cycle, you will need to change the configuration to change the rotation. With some editing you could make that plugin do what you want though, just suggesting a starting point.

I wish they'd make a map like in the old Night of the Living Dead...now that'd be scary.
