Simple plugin, that will kick and ban clients, who disconnect (and maybe rejoin) before the standard vote could kick and ban them.

There is one cvar "l4d2_votekickban_bantime" to set the ban time for those players. Standard is 15 minutes. And there is a version cvar.

Nothing else is needed.

Current version: 1.2

v1.2: - blocking new votes if old one is still active - trying to kick the banned one again after 15 seconds v1.1: - added version cvar - output will display cvar sv_vote_kick_ban_duration - the check timer is now using the value of sv_vote_timer_duration

Sure, it's because I like non-steam players better then steamplayers. Non-steamers connect and play for a couple of hours. Steamplayers play for 10 minutes, then it's their turn to be survivor and if they can't switch team to infected they just rage and join another server.

I don't. I buy all my games and software legally.

It might sound to you as a cheap excuse but I spoke to a lot of people that eventually bought the game where they played a pirated version first just because they really liked my servers and got sick of all the updates every week.

Further more, I always encourage people to buy something if they like it. People that don't want to buy the game or don't have the money for it wouldn't pay for it anyway.

Other then that it's my hardware, bandwidth and power consumption which I get the bills for each month. I'm paying a lot of money to run these servers and Valve gets free promotion because of them so I think running steam or non-steam is for me to decide.

Believe me, the moment Valve starts listening to my support calls, solves my crashes and starts supporting the L4D 8+ player community more actively I'll drop non-steam support immediately.

I don't believe piracy is damaging the game studio's anyway, only bad products do and it's easy to blame piracy for it. You can't blame me for being honest.

Btw maybe you could create a different thread for this or we can discuss it elsewhere because this isn't the right place, sorry for this DieTeetasse I'll go ontopic again from now on
