Really cant afford to rent a server. Hope to save the dream, so I turn to you

100/100mbit fiber network.
Router: Asus RT-N56U

The servers hardly experience any load and the lagg always affects all of them regardless of the individual load they are under, thats why i suspec network issues.

What can I do? Is there any router configuration I can do to reduce the load on network or network equipment or do I need a more powerful router?
From the game perspective, may server settings, maybe tickrate or something, be able to relieve the stress?

Help is appreciated more than you know. Work as a technician but I really realize my shortcomings when I try to tackle this myself...
Thanks

Thanks for your input!

I will monitor this during the next wave of heavy traffic.

Anyone perhaps have any other potential ideas on how to ease the load without giving up player slots?

Netgraph will help determine if it's cpu or network related.

It's most likely cpu which means you can reduce player counts or tickrates.
