Bruh, it's a pretty old thread, but I wondering, is catching and stopping default models/sounds are okay, working fine, helping to deal with 512 limit.
I've seen about tons of topics, some ppls says like "wow this working thanks u woohoo", some says "this not gonna work stable", so I would like to see answers of someone who had fun with that stuff already, or just link to same topic If it exists. Thanks.

So what do you want to know more precisely? How to stop things from being precached?

I know how to do that with fakemeta, I guess it's ok. If you would like to recommend me some better way I'd be happy.

Current question is:

It matters which sounds are you preventing to precache (I think only weapon fire sounds are useless) and about models, they all are required, but if you still prevent those models from precaching then you must also prevent entities to be spawned which are using those models.

Ight, I guess it's work and I can escape the 512 with preventing default ones from precaching. ty

Now about models: I need to prevent default models from appearing in game, If I gonna de-precache? So, for example, I removing default player models, cause jail or zombie mods does not use them. They actually have no chance to appear and all gonna be fine, but I guess I need to add some code that gonna 100% never use that models cuz I sure we'll have some problems(spawning when u're spectator e.g.)
But maybe there's more useless models that I can de-precache in mods like jail.
Is there's list of useless default resources? I guess much ppls before me was interested in that.

UP!

Questions:
"Is there's list of useless default resources(Jail mode)? I guess much ppls before me was interested in that."
"How to prevent the model(weapon or player) from arriving, if it not precached? It's enough to say name of hook that I need to look in"

Only precached images (generic) resources are useless (and maybe some sounds). Others depends on you.
