Powerlord, I'd say just build this into TFH. Two birds and all that.
This little but helpful plugin is "broken" as well (at least if you have fullmoon mode enabled) because Valve changed the value for fullmoon to 7. I just changed the value from 6 to 7 so it works again if anyone needs it.

Edit: Changed the number again because fullmoon is now 8.

It was already rolled into Force Holidays 1.10.0 as the tfh_normalhealth cvar.

I am still having issues with missing body parts while using this plugin. I can re-post my cfg if needed.
edit- This doesn't seem to happen all the time and some players could see the parts while others (like me) could not.

For existing issues, I'll have to look to see what's going on with existing body parts.

Valve changed holiday numbers again yesterday and added a new End of the Line holiday between Christmas and Valentines Day in the numbering.

So, here's a new version of Force Holidays, 1.10.1, which adds support for this new holiday, and as an added "bonus" will error out on people trying to compile it against a non-updated tf2.inc (also attached).

I haven't yet tested it to see if setting tfh_endoftheline -1 will block bonus ducks or not.

The new version is on the Updater site, so it should download / warn you automatically. I don't want the waffling that happened last time to happen this time, so I'm pushing it immediately in order to fix things.

If you use tf_forced_holiday instead of this plugin, here are the new holiday numbers:
  1. Birthday
  2. Halloween
  3. Christmas
  4. End of the Line
  5. Valentines
  6. Meet the Pyro
  7. Spy Vs. Engy War
  8. Full Moon
  9. Don't Use: internally used by items checking for Halloween or Full Moon
  10. Don't Use: internally used by items checking for Halloween, Full Moon, or Valentines (which means no items use it as Valentines was never implemented)
  11. April Fools

OK, so I know releasing new versions two days in a row isn't anyone's idea of fun, but SM 1.7 had some new features added today that required a new version.

Version 1.10.2 is basically the same as the previous version, but with the switch/case switched to if/else if. The reason for this is that SM 1.7 now populates holiday values from GameData so you won't need a new version of this every time holiday values change.

The version I've attached is compiled against 1.7-git5072... no idea if it'll even work on SM 1.6 versions or not. You *will* want tfh_updater set to 0 if you run this with Updater as 1.10.1 is the version currently on Updater.

Just a little thing on the OP

"tfh_endofthelin - Force End of the Line / Bonus Ducks. -1 = Always off; 0 = Use game setting; 1 = Always on. Default 0."

There is a missing E

When I turn on fullmoon/Christmas/endofthe line, the ducks wont drop.

when I turn on end of the line using tf_forced_holiday they work fine until the next map change, then this plugin overrides tf_forced_holiday, changing it to "8" and not enabling ducks with the plugin.

any suggestions?

thanks

Edit:
It's tfh_endoftheline, not tfh_endofthelin... I just realized I never fixed that typo in the first post even after it was pointed out to me.
End Edit

It's possible that the check for EOTL ducks is down farther into the server binary than SourceMod's holiday bypass handles. This is why Full Moon uses tf_forced_holidays.

You can force this plugin to stop using tf_forced_holidays by setting tfh_dontforce 1, but do be aware that it breaks the Zombie cosmetics.

This kind of thing is why I've been asking Valve to make tf_forced_holidays work differently for years.
