How to work update via Token? Anonymous login for CS:GO is to be canceled.

Ah, ok. Is the ability to hide the password in the script? If I update server. It would be nice if it worked sign in via a universal key for updating servers.

You use this site: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers to generate all of your tokens. Each token is good for one server. If someone steals your token or something like that you just hit the regenerate token button. Your password is never leaked.


Personally I'm rather interested in how something like ESEA will deal with this, I'm guessing they'll be getting some sort of special treatment from valve? Otherwise it seems very difficult to run the number of servers that they do in this new system.

They're not getting any special treatment other than maybe being one of the bigger reasons that the limit per account was raised as high as it was.

I can't imagine it being too difficult, I'm sure they own several phone numbers or will. Buy or use ESEA accounts for the servers. For them, it's probably the easier compared to the rest of us.

Added concommand sv_setsteamaccount to specify Game Server Login Token. To create a GSLT go to http://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers

I just updated.

From memory the cvar needs to be set before server.cfg

For TF2 you have to run that cvar in autoexec.cfg. I dunno if that works in csgo but try it.

If not, setting it on the server's launch parameters should also do the trick.
