A little bored and curious last night, I started to write my own Server Doc. I'm aware that there are other applications out there, but felt they didn't meet my requirements.

I needed something that would detect if there was a "critical error" message displaying, or any type of MessageBox for that matter.

Along with this I wanted to know if the process was still running.

The one feature I did like about ServerDoc was the web interface. I didn't like however that it doesn't support multiple instances of a process in one application. It seems very impractical to run ServerDoc five times to monitor five servers.

I then came up with my "GameServer Monitor". It uses the .NET Framework, but seems to work like a charm. I've done some preliminary tests on random applications such as Ventrilo. I've had them crashed, and it restarts. I am adding more support for the MessageBox display.

Currently it supports:
  • Multiple Process Monitoring on a fixed interval (5 seconds).
  • Add process.
  • Close all running process on application termination.

My future ideas:
  • Add Delete, Edit functions to current process.
  • Save logs to a directory by day.
  • Add WebGUI Restart.
  • Add "UserManagement" with ranks.
  • Add Configuration files.
  • Add the option to run this application as a service so it starts with Windows.
My question is, would anyone else want to use this? If so what suggestions do you have? Mind you I've only spent a few hours toying around with this while talking with my underage Russian lover, xPaw.

I've attached a few screenshots.

Thank you

Last time I checked the free version was free (as in downloaded and used for free). Also, I haven't seen anything indicating that Styles will provide GameServer Monitor for free.

I'll finish it and release it ;). Possibly the source if it's clean enough for public eyes lol.

And ServerDoc is free 8088, but you have to update it constantly, kinda annoying.

Well, if have the caracteristics listed in "my features ideas" i would use it... good job styles... keep it doing =d

At the moment i am using HLM 2.3, is good and work perfect.. maybe you can get an idea trying that program (for example the tweek about fps servers, is something like hl booster but better, and without doing nothing, just using the program).

EDIT: Oh and.. 64 bits support? 8D

Alucard, yes x64 support.

I was thinking of rewriting it using Boost, but I really want a simple GUI for people, that's the only reason I choose C#.

I want an excuse to use the Boost library. At the moment I think I'll write a small external library that will check for things like that.

Also if you guys have any other suggestions I'd be happy to look into them.

As for HLM2.3, I'm not sure what it is, but I'll find out ;).
