A search of the folders finds no instances of cl_showpluginmessages
A net search reveals that the problem affects RTV as well caused by a steam update in may 2019
lots of info about enabling it (1)
however I don't have a config.cfg anywhere either, I do have a config_default.cfg with a load of key binds in it.
Lots of people saying put it in server.cfg or autoexec.cfg
BUT no one actually says exactly what to put, so here's what i've tried in both server.cfg and autoexec.cfg as well as creating a config.cfg

I located a config.cfg folder in my client and copied this cl_showpluginmessages "1" from there thinking that that must be the correct format.
Pasted it into both autoexec.cfg and the newly created config.cfg on the server.

no effect.

It is a client sided cvar just open your config.cfg in your gameinstallationfolder search for the cvar and set it to 1...

So now I've installed a new server with just the latest MM and SM from github plus the version 3 files and folders you sent, and I cannot replicate your experience. Nothing seems to enable the clients to bring up the menu, I checked that the clients cl_showpluginmessages "1" file was set to 1. Gone for a lie down with a large whiskey!

How about I make all the regular players into admin with reduced powers? If that would work what would be the lowest level that would work? tried b that didn't work but z definitely does.

scratch that! an alcohol induced stupid idea, very sorry! I'll just change the public model for them each week much better solution.
PS it seems improbable that every client has got the understanding that they need to change a config file just to see a menu after all some of them are over 50!

I have the following problem. I installed the skin chooser at css and everything worked. Now I wanted to do the same at csgo and everything worked so far but the models don't carry the guns in their hands but they are on the floor. I have already searched all pages but unfortunately did not find anything. Can someone please help me to solve this problem? Gladly in German that makes it a little easier ....

This happens if you use outdated models from before the Halloweenupdate or models that were made for other games....
