I am currently working on a plugin to play a random sound at the end of a map. All is working except that sound stops once the map starts to change. Is there any way to make it continue to play through the loading screen? I am currently using the EmitSound command. Is there another way to play sounds that might make this work? Thanks

I was on a server that plays songs across the map change. I think it displays a MOTD that streams music through the web browser, but I don't know how it hides the MOTD window from being visible.

It won't be possible with things like emitsound because when the map ends all of that gets reset.

I just tried using client execute to run the "play" command but still ends. I would think that the motd would have the same effect? Close once map starts??

Hmm, an older topic, but no, music in the MOTD panel keeps playing throughout a mapchange, of course until the MOTD is shown again at map start. I don't know if the MOTD panel is a VGUI panel too, if so, you could hide it with ShowVGUIPanel (once you know the panel name).

I'v recently been on a server that streamed music through the motd, and even out of CS:S I could hear it. I had to manually use the motd command to change the website so it would stop. It played through mapchanges, so I believe it's possible
