I'm trying to create a server but unable to find a cheap host.

Tried some VPS hosting but their CPU unable to handle the mods. Running the server alone without mods or anything, work fine. It still reach around 90% CPU. But the moment i put bunch of custom maps and bunch of sourcemod plugins, it make the CPU reach 100%. It lag all players in there. Totally unplayable. Especially when the bots spawn.

I also tried buying some slots like gameservers. Using gameservers still give me some lag randomly. Like every min or so, a random lag. Gameservers is pretty expensive for 32 players slot.

Anyone have some suggestion? I need one that can run 32 players and cost about $20/month.

have you tried amazon web services??? I have my servers there

Its annoying. They blocked my account and ask me for address verification and stuff...

Cheap Hosting = Shit servers (Typically).

You'll be posting here asking why your server is lagging. Spend a little extra with a quality host.

I know and expensive one keep giving me extra performance I don't need...
Like a dedicate server cost about $300 which have like 4 cores and 16GB RAM. I don't need that many cores. srcds only use 1 core. What's the point of having 3 extra cores for? and 16GB RAM so much for?

Why should I pay more for something extra that I'm not going to use?

If you're looking to getting a dedicated server from a GSP, you're going to get yourself a ridiculous price. Get yourself a small VPS/Dedicated Server from OVH if you don't have much of an idea what you're doing.

You can rent a quality server without renting a VPS or dedicated box.
